Peter White netted his first hat trick in nearly six years, capping the effort at 2:28 of overtime to give Philadelphia a 6-5 win over Milwaukee on Friday. LOOKING AHEAD:
Norfolk tries to end a two-game skid in Cleveland tonight (7:05 ET). The Admirals still sit atop the South Division, but their lead is down to just six points over the Bears, who have three games in hand. Mike Peluso is still tied for the AHL scoring lead with 26 points, although his 10-game scoring streak was snapped on Friday night. Jonathan Cheechoo had a goal and an assist in two weekend games, his first with the Barons this season after spending six weeks in San Jose.
Saint John and St. John's, two teams trying to get back in the win column, meet in Newfoundland for a two-game series, beginning Tuesday night (7:35 NT, 7:05 AT). The Flames are finishing up a nine-game road trip that began with three wins but has since seen four losses; the Maple Leafs are kicking off an eight-game homestand looking to turn around their current 1-9-2-0 slide. Rookie Matt Lombardi recorded a point on all six Saint John goals in a pair of losses at Manitoba over the weekend.
