Flames Reassign Akim Aliu to Abbotsford

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have reassigned right winger Akim Aliu to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League. The reassignment is due to the termination of emergency conditions as it applies to Aliu's recall.

Aliu played 15 minutes of ice time in last night's 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Aliu has played 39 games with the Abbotsford Heat this season recording four goals and six assists for 10 points along with 106 penalty minutes which is a new career high. He has played 3 games with Calgary this year.
