The Barons opened the scoring at 3:41 of the opening frame on a goal by Philippe Cornet. The Barons grabbed a 3-0 lead on Cheechoo's 11th goal of the season at 9:26 of the second stanza on the power play. Rajala flew down the left side and threw the puck to Cheechoo in the slot who banged in his own rebound past Gervais-Chouinard.
