SEATTLE, WASH. - Ahead of S2's first road match of the season, MLS has entered into 2018 Standard USL Loan Agreements for goalkeeper Bryan Meredith, defender Jordan McCrary and midfielders Henry Wingo, Handwalla Bwana and Alex Roldan. These agreements contain a right of recall for MLS, which enables each player to play for a USL side and MLS club throughout the duration of the loan period (through the end of 2018), subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines. S2 heads to Kansas this weekend for a road fixture at Swope Park Rangers on Saturday, March 24 at Shawnee Mission South District Stadium.

Additionally, Sounders FC Academy players Peter Kingston and Gabe Threadgold have been added to the squad as USL Academy signings and are eligible for selection by Head Coach John Hutchinson.

Sounders FC 2 (1-0-0, 3 points) opened its 2018 USL season and a new era of S2 soccer in Tacoma with an emphatic 2-1 victory over archrival Portland Timbers 2 last Friday night. It was a historic occasion, as a sold-out Cheney Stadium crowd of 6,049 fans witnessed Tacoma's new professional club win its first match in the City of Destiny. Felix Chenkam and Nick Hinds bagged two goals at the end of the first half within two minutes of each other, giving Hutchinson his first win as S2 manager.
