Five players scoring in double-digits lift Stampede to win

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede remain undefeated at home after defeating Sioux Falls 100-83 in Boise on Saturday night. Stampede guards Luke Jackson and Jamaal Tatum led all scorers with 22 points apiece.
The first half featured seven lead changes and ended with a 6-1 Stampede run, giving them a 47-39 advantage going into the break. The Stampede run continued after the half, allowing them to gain a 54-41 lead with nine minutes remaining in the third. Sioux Falls answered with a 20-9 run of their own, to go into the final quarter with a 65-64 lead.
Idaho came out hot in the fourth going on an 18-4 run to help them re-gain and build a solid 92-76 lead with 1:51 remaining in the quarter. The Stampede utilized five players scoring in double-figures to gain the victory. Brent Petway scored 15 points, while Jermareo Davidson and Coby Karl each added 14.
"I thought our team showed great leadership," said Stampede Head Coach Bryan Gates. "We went up against a talented group of players as well as coaching staff. Hats off to Jamaal Tatum and Coby Karl for their leadership, especially in the fourth quarter."
Sioux Falls guard Carl Elliott led all Skyforce scorers with 19 points. Glen McGowan finished the game with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Bobby Jones added 12 points, in the loss.
The Stampede stay at home to take on Bakersfield on Friday night, in Boise. Sioux Falls travels to Erie to play back to back games against the BayHawks next weekend.
