Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the St. Louis Blues have recalled forwards Phil McRae, Evgeny Grachev and Andrew Murray as well as defensemen Cade Fairchild and Mark Cundari.

This comes just one day after the Blues recalled forward Jaden Schwartz and defensemen Ian Cole and Taylor Chorney.

All eight players will participate in their first scrimmage of the 2013 Training Camp on Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Scottrade Center. The scrimmage will consist of two 30 minute periods with a running clock for both. In addition, each period will end with a shootout featuring five shooters from each team.

With the National Hockey League opening on Saturday, the league has mandated that all 23-man rosters be set on Friday. This should leave a number of the recalled-players returning to Peoria before their game on Friday in Rockford.

The Rivermen open a four-game homestand on Saturday when they host the Texas Stars at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Zamboni Bank courtesy of CEFCU. For tickets or more information call 309-676-1040.
