LAST WEEK'S RESULTS
Wednesday, January 9: PENGUINS 1, Senators 3...
Binghamton's Robin Lehner continued his stellar play against the Penguins this season, stopping of 31-of-32 shots in a 3-1 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Senators got an early goal from Stephane Da Costa and held a 1-0 lead until a minute into the third period when Eric Gryba converted on the man-advantage to give his team a two-goal cushion.
Though Paul Thomson got Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on board four minutes later on a power play, Mike Hoffman clinched win for Binghamton with an empty net goal.
Friday, January 4: Penguins 1, SENATORS 3...
Penguins netminder Brad Thiessen made 23 saves for his second shutout of the season and helpe Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to a 1-0 victory over the Hershey Bears.
Brian Dumoulin scored the lone goal of the contest at 12:27 of the first during a 5-on-4 advantage - his third marker of the season.
Saturday, January 12: PENGUINS 2, Phantoms 1...
For the second straight game, defenseman Brian Dumoulin notched the game-winning goal as the Penguins edged the Adirondack Phantoms, 2-1.
Paul Thompson put Wilkes-Barre/Scranton ahead, 1-0, with a power play goal at 6:19 of the first. The Phantoms would respond midway through second frame on Marcel Noebels' first marker of the season. With 2:18 left in the same period, Dumoulin completed a 3-on-2 rush to give the Penguins the lead for good.
Brad Thiessen won back-to-back starts with 22 saves on the night, while WBS went 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.

Tuesday, January 14, 7:15PM: Penguins at ADMIRALS - 102.3 the Mountain
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton makes its first trip of the season to the Norfolk Scope to face the Admirals. Norfolk is winless in its last six games (0-4-1-1) since a 3-2 overtime win over the Penguins at Mohegan Sun Arena on Dec. 29. Peter Holland had an assist and the OT game-winner in the contest. The Admirals went 8-2-0-0 versus the Penguins in 2011-12. Former Admiral Trevor Smith registered 12 points (2g-10a) in nine games against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season.
Sunday, January 20, 5:00 PM: Penguins at BEARS - 102.3 the Mountain
The Penguins and Bears head outside for 2013 Capital BlueCross AHL Outdoor Classic. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton had dropped three in a row to Hershey before scoring a 1-0 victory last Friday. The Penguins are 2-6-0-0 overall this season versus Hershey. The Bears have won three of their last four and sit three points ahead of the Pens in third place.
