Minnesota United FC News Release
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today five Loons have been called up to their respective national teams for the March international window.
Dayne St. Clair rejoins the Canada National Team on their journey to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Canada plays Costa Rica, Jamaica and Panama in the final round of the World Cup Qualifiers. Currently, Canada lead the group with a 7-0-4 record and a +14-goal differential. Behind them are the U.S, Mexico and Panama. St. Clair's first call up to the senior team was in January of 2021 and he made his senior national team debut last summer in World Cup Qualifiers with a 7-0 shutout win over Aruba.
Midfielders Kervin Arriga and Joseph Rosales head to Honduras for their final stretch of World Cup Qualifiers. Arriaga missed Honduras's last match against the United States on February 2 at Allianz Field but will rejoin the squad alongside fellow Loon Joseph Rosales, who could make his senior team debut this window. Honduras will face Panama, Mexico and Jamaica to close out the final round.
Robin Lod heads back to Europe to join the Finland National Team to compete in two friendlies against Iceland and Slovakia. Finland finished the Group Stage of World Cup Qualifiers in November of 2021.
Bongokuhle Hlongwane returns to South Africa for a pair of friendlies with the South Africa National Team. After the second round of the Group Stage, South Africa currently sits second in Group G of World Cup Qualifiers.
