
Fishing, Food and Fun With The Scorpions In March

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-The New Mexico Scorpions will be out in the community for two very special events. Join the Scorpions on March 4 and 11 to enjoy fishing and food with the players.
On March 4, the Scorpions will head to Fuddruckers, located at 4855 Pan American Freeway, Albuquerque, for a late lunch. Everyone is invited to eat with their favorite Scorpion between 3-5 p.m. whether they fished or not.
A special "Scorps Meal Deal" will be offered. The great deal includes a hamburger, French fries, drink and a discount on future Scorpions tickets.
The following Sunday, March 11, features the Charlie's Sporting Goods "Fish With A Scorp." Registration for this special event is underway. Children ages 7-11 are eligible by either writing a letter or drawing a picture telling why they should be chosen. All winning entries which each receive a one-day fishing license, a fishing rod, lunch with the players, and a ticket to the March 24 game against Rocky Mountain.
Entry forms are available at Charlie's Sporting Goods located at 8908 Menaul NE , Albuquerque or on the Scorpions website by clicking here. Entries must be received by March 2. Only 50 spots are available.
Also on March 11, some of the Scorpions players will be visiting the New Mexico National Guard Amory from 1-3 p.m. for a private hockey clinic. Children of New Mexico National Guard families have been selected to spend two hours learning the game of hockey from some of the best minor professional hockey players.
Come see the young, tough and exciting New Mexico Scorpions at the Santa Ana Star Center. Flex plan tickets are still available for the remainder of the 2006-07 season.
