Fisher Cats Revised Ground Rules

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release


Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the AA Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, have revised the Official Ground Rules for Professional play at Gill Stadium. The new rules are now listed on line at nhfishercats.com.

-The Outfield wall is 12 feet high and 4 feet high (in front of the bullpens) and is one single wall.

-The Left Center Field Scoreboard is above and separate from the outfield wall.

-Must catch ball inside of line in LF—catch & carry OK---come out to throw it.

-If a batted ball clears the Left Field wall below the Left Field Scoreboard it is a HR.

-The ball must clear the wall for a Home Run.

-The dugouts are out of bounds. Book rule---top step is live.

-Lean, do not elevate on dugout.

-It is at umpire's discretion to award bases when balls enter the dugouts.

-Play the ball live off all railings on dugout, if it comes out.

-If a batted ball lands in fair territory and then bounces into the party areas on either the 1st or 3rd base line, it is a ground rule double.

-Play temporary fencing like the stands.

-If a ball hits the plastic fencing on either the 3rd or 1st base line and knocks the fence over, it is at the umpire's discretion to award bases.

-If a ball hits a photographer it is at the umpire's discretion to award bases.

-If a ball gets caught in the rotating outfield signage, bounces behind the OF wall, or rolls under the outfield gates, it is at the umpire's discretion to award bases.

-If a batted ball is hit and bounces off the press box atop the roof or along the roof facade, it is a foul ball.
