June 30, 2004 - Eastern League (EL1)
New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats look for an 11th straight home win, and seventh overall, when they host the New Britain Rock Cats tonight. It's the fourth game of a five-game series. New Hampshire has won the first three games in the series, including last night's come-from-behind 10-5 win. The Fisher Cats scored six runs in the 8th inning to erase a 5-4 deficit. Catcher Jose Umbria's suicide squeeze scored shortstop Aaron Hill to break a 4-4 tie, and first baseman Mike Snyder smashed a three-run homer in the inning. Andy Torres (2-0) pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win.
Tonight is Mike O'Malley night. The Fisher Cats welcome the star of CBS-TV's "Yes Dear", and the first 1000 fans will receive a Mike O'Malley bobblehead doll. Tickets are still available to the 7:05 p.m. contest. Standing room only tickets remain for tomorrow's homestand finale (12:05 p.m.) with the Rock Cats.
