Bowie, MD- New Hampshire scored their first four runs on solo home runs, including three solo shots in the top of the fourth inning against Dave Crouthers, as the Fisher Cats battered the Baysox (37-34), 8-2 in Eastern League play.
Crouthers (5-3) took the loss giving up six runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings, including a season-high four home runs.
Gustavo Chacin (6-2) earned the victory pitching 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out six. Jamie Vermilyea earned his first save of the season pitching 3.2 shut out innings for New Hampshire (37-32).
Anton French, John-Ford Griffin, Dominic Rich and Michael Snyder each hit solo home runs for the Fisher Cats.
Keith Reed led the Baysox offense with a solo home run in the sixth inning, his eighth of the season.
