
Fish Release Beuning and Spottiswood, Trade Carpenter

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that the baseball club has traded outfielder Ridge Carpenter to the Sioux Falls Pheasants for a player to be named later and released pitchers Brian Beuning and Billy Spottiswood.
Carpenter, 23, hit .218 with 14 RBI in 56 games with the Goldeyes this season.
Beuning was released to return to his profession as a Minnesota State Trooper, while Spottiswood is returning home for personal reasons.
The Goldeyes now have 19 players on their active roster, including 10 pitchers and nine position players.
