Laredo Lemurs News Release
Laredo, TX - Leonard Giammanco and a host of bullpen mates lead the charge for the Laredo Lemurs as they grab a 5-1 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs Monday night at Uni-Trade Stadium.
Lemurs starting pitcher Kyle Wilson only threw three pitches before leaving the game with an injury, handing over the start to Giammanco.
Giammanco came out of the pen and walked the first batter to load the bases, then proceeded to get the next three outs to work out of trouble. Giammanco earned the win going four and two thirds, giving up one run, on three hits, while walking three batters.
The Lemurs offense picked up a run in the first with a leadoff hit by Jimmy Mojica. He was driven home later in the inning by Javier Brito to give the Lemurs a 1-0 lead.
The Lemurs picked up two more runs in the fourth, with three base hits and a sac fly by Stephen Pearson to bring in another run to make it 3-0 Lemurs after four.
The Lemurs grabbed two runs in the seventh when Anthony Scelfo drove in runners from second and third to make a 5-1 Lemurs lead.
