
First two home games of 2005 this weekend

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce the promotions for the first two home games of the 2005 portion of their schedule.
The K-Wings will host their first game of the New Year on Friday, January 14th, as they host the Elmira Jackals at 7:30 p.m. Friday's game will be Vegas Getaway Night presented by WKFR, Spirit Airlines, and the Paris Hotel Casino. In the first period, intermission fans will get to turn their entry forms into paper airplanes and throw them into a Convertible provided by Harold Ziegler Auto Group. Any participant that lands their entry form on or in the Convertible will make it to the finals of the contest in the second intermission.
During the second intermission the remaining contestants will select cards from a deck of playing cards. The contest that has the highest card will win the trip to Las Vegas.
On Saturday, the K-Wings will continue their four-game home stand against the Motor City Mechanics on WKFR I Love the 80's and Win-Win Night. This will be the first-ever meeting at Wings Stadium between the teams.
I Love the 80's Night is a chance to celebrate the 1980's. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite garb for the 80's. The game also coincides with Win-Win Night. If the K-Wings win, everyone in attendance with receive a FREE coupon for the K-Wings home game on January 19th versus the Port Huron Beacons.
Tickets for the games this weekend's games or any of the K-Wings home games during the 2004-05 season are on sale now by calling (269) 345-5101 or at the Wings Stadium Box Office. Business hours of the Box Office are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or Saturday's 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
