Rockford\'s Steve Pelletier added to Team Mountain Dew All-Star Roster

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO -- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday that Rockford's Steve Pelletier has been added to the Team Mountain Dew All-Star Roster. Due to injury, Fort Wayne's Jason Kean will be unable to appear in the All-Star Classic.

This season marks Pelletier's first in the professional ranks. In the 2003-04 season, he led all defenseman in scoring for the Prince Edward Island Rockets, and posted a career high 25 assists during his fourth season in the QMJHL. In the 2002-2003 season, he split time between the Quebec Remparts and Montreal Rockets where he played in 29 and 28 games, respectively.

Fans will select the official starting lineup for each roster. The 2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic Fan Balloting can be found exclusively on the official website of the United Hockey League. Online fan balloting at theuhl.com will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, January 17, 2005.

The Adirondack Frostbite are enjoying their eighth year as a member of the UHL. The Adirondack franchise changed their name in the summer of 2004 after being purchased by Glens Falls Professional Hockey, LLC (GFPH, LLC). The new ownership group includes ESPN analysts Barry Melrose and Steve Levy as well as Richmond RiverDogs owner Glenn Morelli.

The UHL is celebrating its 14th consecutive season with 14 member clubs, aligned in three divisions and competing in seven states, including the expansion Danbury Trashers (Connecticut), Motor City Mechanics (Michigan) and Kansas City Outlaws (Missouri).
