Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators were unable to stop the Utica Comets in a 4-1 defeat Saturday night.

Joseph LaBate opened the scoring for the night just past the midway point of the first period with his seventh goal of the year before doubling the visiting team's lead seven minutes later with his second goal of the night. Taylor Fedun made it a 3-0 game with 28 seconds remaining to send the B-Sens to the locker room trailing the Comets and being outshot 17-6.

Carter Bancks quickly made it a 4-0 game in the middle frame with his 13th goal of the year, but Mark Fraser ended Richard Bachman's shutout bid at the 19:37 mark with his second goal of the year but that was a close as the B-Sens would get.

Matt O'Connor stopped 31 shots in the losing effort while Bachman picked up the win with 26 saves.

The B-Sens head to Albany on Sunday for a 3:00p.m. puck drop against the Devils. Fans can listen live on US 96.9FM, WINR 680AM or on the iHeart Radio app.
