Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - Your mission Curve fans, should you chose to accept it, is to head down to Peoples Natural Gas Field Tuesday through Thursday as the Curve welcome in the Trenton Thunder, affiliates of the New York Yankees, for a quick homestand filled with entertainment, fireworks, fun and more!
The homestand kicks off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night with a Two-for-Tuesday presented by Atlantic Broadband. Fans can take advantage of a great offer for the first home game of the year versus the Yankees' affiliate with two-for-one deals on tickets, hot dogs and regular popcorns all-game long so bring your best buddy and your appetite.
Wednesday night's 7 p.m. game with the Thunder brings with it a whole ton of fun on Cresson Community Night with a special mid-week postgame Fireworks display. It will also serve as the third game of the season for all Silver Steamers Club members presented by Homewood at Martinsburg and the third free game for all Galliker's Curve Kids' Club members. The Galliker's Curve Kids' Club is free to join and still has seven free games left including Wednesday night's matchup with the Thunder.
After the game on Wednesday, Silver Steamers Club members will be able to take their postgame stroll around the bases followed by the Kids' Club members run around the bases. Wednesday also means it's a WALY 4-Pack Wednesday presented by WALY 103.9 where fans can grab four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular sodas for $35.
Come prepared for the impossible for the 7 p.m. Thursday night finale as we kick off the second year of the Nittany Travel Summer Cruise Series with Mission: Impossible Night at the ballpark. Just like in 2011, fans will collect four items, one each from the four different Summer Cruise Series Nights - themed after Tom Cruise films of the 1990s - and bring them back to the final game of the season for a chance to win one (1) seven-day cruise for two to the Caribbean thanks to Nittany Travel.
Since it is "Mission: Impossible Night", which pays tribute to the missions of Tom Cruise as agent Ethan Hunt in the popular film series, we'll be giving away a Curve Puzzle Cube to the first 500 fans 21 and up as they enter the ballpark. This giveaway item, along with the other three (July 5, July 19 and August 9) must be brought back to the last game of the year (August 30) for you to be entered to win the cruise.
Our younger fans can also make their way to Curve, Pa. on Thursday as we will be holding Report Card Night in honor of the end of the school year and the beginning of the never-ending summer. All kids who show up with their report card (good or bad, but hopefully good) can get one free Grandstand seat to Thursday night's game with Trenton. (Note, report cards with dog bites will be accepted)
Thursday night's finale also serves as a Thirsty ThursdayTM brought to you by Rocky 104.9 and Bedford County Night. Fans that attend Thursday night's game can get 16oz. Miller Lite drafts for just $2 and 22 oz. sodas for just $1.50.
