ABOUT LAST GAME: Another sterling pitching performance led Columbia to a win on Wednesday night. The Fireflies nearly shut out the Shorebirds and opened up the series with a 7-1 victory at Perdue Stadium. Gabriel Llanes went the distance, the starter's first 9-inning complete game of his MiLB career. The righty nearly notched the complete game shutout, but allowed one unearned run in the 9th inning. The Fireflies have won back-to-back games.

LET'S PLAY TWO?: Columbia's tilt with Delmarva last Thursday was rained out and postponed to May 11. The doubleheader (two seven-inning games) begins at 6:05 p.m. with game two following approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

THREE-HEADED MONSTER: The Fireflies have a formidable starting rotation featuring three of the best arms in the South Atlantic League:

Jordan Humphreys (6-0, 1.63) - Only 6-win pitcher in pro ball Merandy Gonzalez (4-1, 1.89) - 28.1 straight scoreless IP Gabriel Llanes (1-2, 2.33) - 3 ER allowed last 29 IP

Columbia and Lakewood are the only two teams in the league with three starters that all have ERAs lower than 2.50. Humphreys, Gonzalez and Llanes have a collective 5:1 K:BB ratio and Humphreys leads the SAL in strikeouts (49).

HIT PARADE: Columbia notched a season-high 15 hits against Delmarva on Wednesday - a third of those a season-high five doubles (two from Michael Paez; has a team-best 11).

FOCUSED: Outfielder Tim Tebow had a pair of hits on Wednesday. He's hit safely in five of his last six games (7-for-22, .318). He's raised his batting average to .250 in that span.
