ABOUT LAST GAME: P.J. Conlon picked up his league-leading eighth win of the season on Friday night and the Fireflies defeated the Power, 4-2. Conlon outlasted West Virginia starter Mitch Keller. The two will square off again on June 21 as the starters for the Southern and Northern Divisions at the 57th annual South Atlantic League All-Star game.
THE SIENA EFFECT: Vinny Siena scored two more runs for Columbia on Friday. The second baseman is tied with Brian Mundell (Asheville) for the league lead (48). The Fireflies are 24-6 when Siena scores a run in a game. The SAL All-Star has proved to be the ultimate table setter this season:
Leading Off an Inning: .350 (21-60)
First Inning of Games: .438 (21-48), 12 Runs, 6 BB
A quarter of Siena's runs are scored in the first inning of games.
TWO-HEADED MONSTER: Siena and Kevin Kaczmarski have been at the top of Manager Jose Leger's lineup 16 times thjis year hitting 'one-two' in the order. And much more so recently. The two have each reached base safely in 13 of those 16 games. Here's what the pair has done the last two nights against the Power:
Siena: 4-for-8, 4 R, 3B, BB, SB
Kaczmarski: 4-for-7, 3 R, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 BB, SB

SECRET WEAPON: David Thompson didn't face WV from May 26-29. The third baseman is 4-for-9 in this series with 5 RBIs.
