LAST TIME OUT: Columbia continues its red-hot stretch after a 12-5 thrashing of Greenville on Thursday. The 12 runs were a season high and the Fireflies finished with 17 hits, just one shy of tying the season mark. The Fireflies have now won five straight.

BY THE NUMBERS: Thursday was one of the most prolific offensive performances of the season. Here's a breakdown of the evening:

- 12 runs (season high) and 17 hits (one off tying a season high)

- 3 homers and seven extra-base hits tied season highs

- The first 7 batters in the order recorded multi-hit games and eight of the nine starters reached base safely at least twice

- 25 total baserunners for Columbia

- 3 hits for Chase Chambers and 3 runs scored (tying a season mark)

HEAT CHECK: Columbia's five-game winning streak is the longest active streak in the South Atlantic League. The Fireflies can continue to build the streak against Greenville. The Drive are just 1-10 in their last 11 games, and have the lowest winning percentage among SAL teams in the 2nd half (.378).

WHAT'S AT STAKE: If Columbia wins on Friday, its six-game winning streak would be the longest since winning nine straight from June 4-12, 2017. The longest winning streak during the 2018 season was just five games.

LAUNCHING PAD: Thursday's game featured five homers, three hit by Fireflies (Mark Vientos, Brian Sharp, Chase Chambers). Vientos' blast cleared the center-field wall and traveled 420 feet.

LAUNCHING PAD, Pt. II: Vientos now has 12 homers and 58 RBI on the season. The Mets prospect is on pace for either 14 or 15 homers and 71 RBIs, which would both be new franchise records.

RECORD BREAKER: Ronny Mauricio broke the Fireflies single-season hits record on Tuesday in Hagerstown. After finished 2-for-6 at the plate on Thursday, Mauricio now has 114 on the year (tied for fourth in the SAL). The Mets top-rated prospect is on pace for 138 which would blow the prior record (J.C. Rodriguez, 111 in 2016) out of the water.

HE WAS NUMBER ONE: MLB Pipeline has long been the leader in MiLB prospect rankings. It recently re-ranked the Mets' minor-league prospects and Fireflies shortstop Ronny Mauricio is now the top-rated prospect in the Mets system. He's also the 84th-best prospect in all of MiLB.
