Firebirds & Remparts Complete Transaction

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds announced today that the team has transferred the rights of forward Hunter Holmes to the Quebec Remparts in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) after clearing Ontario Hockey League waivers.

"We'd like to thank Hunter and his family for their contributions to the Flint Firebirds over the past four years," said Flint Firebirds Vice President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Barclay Branch. "We wish Hunter success moving forward."

Holmes, 19, recorded 64 points (29G, 35A) and a minus-79 rating in 190 OHL games now in his fourth season with the Flint Firebirds.

The Firebirds and Saginaw Spirit will meet this Wednesday night when the two clubs face-off at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center and great promotions are available for fans! Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (ET) for game two of the I-75 Divide Cup, presented by Coors Light.
