The fans at Nelson Wolff Stadium in San Antonio were entertained by all-time great Ted Giannoulas ... a.k.a the Famous Chicken ... Saturday night, but it was the RockHounds who came away with the win, their third-in-a-row in the series and fourth straight overall.

While the Chicken was doing the terrific "solo" act he has now performed at more than 17,000 games and events (since 1974), the RockHounds "show" was an ensemble piece, one in which every batter scored a run, drove in a run or both. The 'Hounds used a five-run fourth inning, errorless defense and four perfect innings from the bullpen in the victory, one which clinched a win in the four-game series.

The first of Renato Nuñez's three hits started the five-run fourth inning, followed by Missions left fielder Yeison Asencio misplaying Chad Pinder's line drive to the warning track in left. Five RockHounds then drove in one run each, with Matt Olson (single), Ryon Healy (single), Carson Blair (double), Matt Angle (sac fly) and Chad Oberacker (double) each collecting an RBI.

Hunter Renfroe ripped a two-run home run in the last of the fifth, bringing the Missions to within 5-3, but relievers Chad Lamb, Ryan Doolittle and Omar Duran combined to face ... and retire ... 12 batters over the last four innings.

The 'Hounds blew the game open with a three-run eighth inning, highlighted by Josh Whitaker's two-run single.

The RockHounds

... are 4-1 in the second half and three games over .500 overall (39-36) ... have won four straight ... are 7-4 on their (12-game) road trip, going 6-1 at San Antonio and 1-3 at Frisco ... have clinched their second straight series win at San Antonio (both on this road trip) and have clinched a winning record for the 12-game swing, going 7-4 with Sunday's matinee remaining ... are 12-7 versus the Missions (5-3 at Security Bank Ballpark and 7-4 at Nelson Wolff Stadium) ... are 21-15 at Security Bank Ballpark and 18-21 on the road ... are 27-24 versus the South Division and 12-12 versus the North ... lead Frisco (3-2) by one game, Corpus Christi (2-3) by two and the Missions (1-4) by three (very) in early in the second half.
