Final Weekend of the 2016 Regular Season
September 1, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Norfolk Tides News Release
The Tides defeated the Charlotte Knights 13-9 in Charlotte on Thursday afternoon to keep playoff hopes alive. In fact, with just one Labor Day weekend's worth of games to play, it remains totally unclear which International League South Division team will win the division title and represent the South Division in the Governor's Cup playoffs.
So, now is the time to find your lucky t-shirt, lucky socks, lucky undergarments, put them on, and cheer for the Tides while they're on the road this weekend. You can follow all the action as Pete Michaud, the voice of the Tides, calls the games on ESPN Radio 94.1 FM. You can watch the game on MiLB.TV. You can also follow the Tides on Facebook, on Twitter, or get the latest game results at the Tides web site. There are dozens of ways to stay connected to the Tides and this is the weekend to do it.
And until we know how this weekend turns out, keep your calendars free for Friday, September 9 . If there's playoff baseball at Harbor Park, it will start on the 9th and continue as long as the Tides keep winning.
