NEWS & NOTES
- The Fever's game at Sacramento on Thursday, July 26, will be broadcast on ESPN 950 instead of WIBC AM-1070. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
- Even though the Fever enters the week having lost two in a row for the first time since June 2, 2006, it has its best record ever after 22 games with a mark of 16-6.
- Dating to the last four road games of 2006, the Fever has won 10 of its last 14 regular season games away from Conseco Fieldhouse.
- Indiana's 68-65 loss to the Chicago Sky, July 21, represented the first time the Fever had held an opponent to less than 70 points and still lost since a 55-40 loss at Detroit, August 25, 2005.
- Sheri Sam made her first start in a Fever uniform at Chicago and scored eight points with three rebounds, three assists and a season-high four steals. She is one of three Fever players to have had at least four steals this season.
- Among the WNBA leaders in steals-to-turnover ratio there are six players in the league with more steals than turnovers and just three in the Eastern Conference--all of which are members of the Fever. Tully Bevilaqua is third in the league with a ratio of 1.09:1, while Tamika Catchings is fourth at 1.05:1 and Sam is sixth with a ratio of 1.05:1.
- Tamika Whitmore led the Fever with a season-high 26 points at Chicago and that tied for the most points scored by any Fever player this season. In two seasons with the Fever, Whitmore has scored 20+ points 12 times. In her first seven WNBA seasons she hit for 20 or more points just 10 times.
- Heading into the game vs. San Antonio on Tuesday, July 24, Anna DeForge has shot 9-12 from 3-pt range in her last three appearances at Conseco Fieldhouse.
- The attendance (10,542) for the game vs. Chicago on Wednesday, July 18, was the largest Kids' Day attendance in Fever history. It was the Fever's biggest home crowd since drawing 13,093 vs. Cleveland, August 23, 2003. It was the sixth-largest July crowd in Fever history, and the biggest Fever crowd in July since 2001. The Fever has had crowds of at least 9,000 three times this season, including its game vs. Detroit on Friday, July 20. A crowd of 9,210 was in attendance at that game.

QUOTABLE QUOTES
Fever Head Coach Brian Winters on the injury to All-Star forward Tamika Catchings:
"It is certainly unfortunate for us, but we have a deep team and we feel that we can still win and continue our winning edge. We look forward to the time that she can come back and help us into the playoffs. A little adversity can allow players some more playing time, and give some of our other players the chance to step up their game. Hopefully, this might become a period of positive growth for our basketball team."
UPCOMING GAME PROMOTIONS
