Staten Island FerryHawks News Release
Staten Island, NY - With several of Staten Island's leading employers and brands already engaged with the FerryHawks and the newly renovated Staten Island University Hospital, "Community Park," the FerryHawks are excited to announce a new, community-focused partnership with Amazon.
Home games on Saturday night will be electric as the FerryHawks present their "Saturday Night Lights" firework display. Now one of the earth's biggest providers will deliver two of those shows on August 13th and September 17th! To drive home their community engagement, Amazon provided tickets to young kids and their families at the local YMCAs of Staten Island to get them involved with the FerryHawks!
Frankie the FerryHawk, Staten Island's new slick mascot, made one of his first public appearances helping Amazon engage with the youth of Staten Island! An event that was a home run for kids and families exemplified the push for community engagement by the Staten Island FerryHawks and Amazon.
"Amazon is one of the leading employers on Staten Island. The FerryHawks are excited to partner with them to provide family fun tickets at our games to local kids and community organizations," said President Eric Shuffler. "We appreciate their support and desire to engage with the community!"
"As a company, we're committed to being good neighbors in the communities we operate throughout all of New York City," said Carley Graham Garcia, Head of Community Affairs, Amazon New York. "We're looking forward to a great baseball season for fans young and old, including our friends at the YMCA of Staten Island. Frankie was a hit with the kids and we're honored by the opportunity to participate."
The FerryHawks continue to create a fun, community-based atmosphere for the Borough of Staten Island! Our newest partnership with Amazon shows that we strive for excellence and look out for the community that has built us!
