Fergie Jenkins Headlines Second Home Stand At The Corn Crib

Normal CornBelters News Release
The Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, will host the second homestand of their inaugural season at the Corn Crib from Monday, June 14 through Saturday, June 19. They will play the Florence Freedom on June 14, Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16. Following, they will host the Evansville Otters on Thursday, June 17, Friday, June 18 and June 19. All games begin at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are still available for each of the six games!
June 14 is "70's Night" featuring a big hair contest. Fans are encouraged to wear their best 70's attire. It's also "Baseball Bingo Night," and there will be a petting zoo in the McDonald's/Little Jewel's Kids Zone courtesy of Houchin Family Alpacas! Completely switching things up, June 15 is "Bald is Beautiful Night." Free haircuts will be offered, and there will be a best bald head contest! It's also the first opportunity for CornBelters Reading Program participants to redeem their vouchers for tickets. Plus, kids can run the bases after the game! Hall of Famer, Ferguson (Fergie) Jenkins, will be in attendance on June 16. He'll throw out one of the game's first pitches and sign autographs on the concourse during the game! It's also "Classic Car Night" and a "Dog Day." Fans are encouraged to check out the classic rides prior to the game, and bring their dogs to the ballpark.
The CornBelters welcome the Otters to town on June 17, and the crowd is once again encouraged to travel back in time for "80's Night." Fans will also be able to purchase plenty of select $1.00 draft beers via two concession stands (Thirsty Thursday)! On June 18, the crowd will kick-off the weekend in style with fireworks following the game (CEFCU All-American Friday)! June 19 is both "Motorcycle Night" and "Dad's Day." Fans are encouraged to check out the Midwest Iron Motorcycle Show prior to the game, and play catch with Dad on the field after the game!

THE NIBLET: On Friday, August 13, the CornBelters will host a "State Farm Legends Reception" at the new Marriott in uptown Normal. The following day is the "State Farm Legends Game" featuring former Chicago and St. Louis MLB players. From Friday, June 11 through Friday, June 25, existing package ticket holders will be able to purchase discounted tickets for both events! Tickets for both events will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, June 26 at 10 a.m. More information, including rosters, to come...
