Defenseman collected five points in two games over the weekend

MADISON, WI - The Madison Capitols, a member of the United States Hockey League, had defenseman Colin Felix named USHL Defenseman of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, January 7, the league announced on Monday.

Felix, 19, recorded five points (1-45) in two games with the Capitols this last week. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound native of Audubon, New Jersey, assisted on two goals in Madison's 5-3 win over the Lincoln Stars on Friday, January 5. In the Capitols 6-4 win over the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday, January 6, Felix scored a goal and two assists for three points.

In 23 games this season, Felix has eight points (3-58) and 96 penalty minutes. He is also committed to University of Massachusetts-Amherst for the 2018-19 season.

In addition to Felix being named USHL Defenseman of the Week, Omaha Lancers forward Filip Suchy was named USHL Forward of the Week, and goaltender Zach Driscoll was named USHL Goaltender of the Week.

The Capitols return home for a $1 Beer Night at 7:05 p.m. at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena on Friday, January 12. Fans can enjoy $1 beers from the time the doors open at 6:00 p.m. until the game ends.
