STARS ANNOUNCE COLD AS ICE NIGHT TONIGHT AT THE ICE BOX
January 9, 2018 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Lincoln Stars News Release
Stars compete broken HVAC units with free hot drinks and $1 Fireball shots for fans
LINCOLN, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars have taken the term "Ice Box" to a new level, and tonight the Stars are soothing the insides of fans with Cold As Ice Night when they host the Sioux City Musketeers at 7:05 p.m.
"Unfortunately, as many fans noticed last night, the Ice Box heat is not working properly," said Stars owner Ryan Schiff. "After 21 years, the HVAC units have crashed. While we wait for the new units to arrive and be installed, the Stars will provide fans with complimentary hot chocolate and coffee at all concessions stands. In addition, the Stars will offer $1 Fireball shots until the end of the second intermission.
"On behalf of the organization, we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and ask fans to dress appropriately for tonight's game."
Offer is valid while supplies last.
Tonight is also the second half of Get Fit Weekend. Fans can grab a free punch card at Fan Services and visit local gyms and fitness centers around the concourse. When fans compete their punch cards by visiting all tables, they will be entered to win signed Stars memorabilia.
Tickets for tonight's game at the Ice Box are available at the box office, by calling 402-474-7827 or going to LincolnStars.com. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Season and group tickets for the 2017-18 season are available, so jump in by calling 402-474-7827 and speak with a Stars representative. The Stars mobile app is also available in the iTunes and Google Play stores with "tap to buy" tickets, in-game push notifications and a rewards program that puts fans in the skates of a player.
