FC Dallas Signs Defender Agustin Jara

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas has signed defender Agustin Jara, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa, the club announced today.

Jara, 23, joined FC Dallas as a trialist in January after accepting an invitation from FC Dallas assistant coach Josema Bazan. The defender saw 170 minutes of action in back-to-back preseason wins against New England (Feb. 4) and Grand Canyon University (Feb. 6) during FC Dallas' week-long stay in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Near the end of preseason, Jara logged another 135 minutes in a second pair of victories, 2-1, in the intra-squad scrimmage, Red and Blue Classic for Season Ticket Members, on Feb. 24 and a 2-1 win for FC Dallas against its USL affiliate Oklahoma City Energy FC on Feb. 27.

Jara played youth soccer with C.A. Colón de Santa Fé in Argentina prior to joining FC Dallas as a trialist.
