Alberto Quintero Earns MLS Team of the Week Selection
Published on May 16, 2016 under Major League Soccer (MLS)
San Jose Earthquakes News Release
Quakes fans couldn't help but notice Alberto Quintero's impact on the field on a Wednesday night 3-1 win. Involved in all three Quakes goals (2G, 1A), he brought the crowd at Avaya Stadium to its feet with a streaking run into the box to reach a Wondo cross in the 3rd minute, creative combination play that lead to his compatriot Anibal Godoy's goal and anticipation setting up a cool finish that cemented the midweek victory.
As if those were't enough to win over the midweek audience, Quakes fans also were given a taste of Quintero's dance moves. Let's just say they left us all wanting more goals from the Panamanian if anything for that reason alone.
You go, Alberto!
It turns out MLS couldn't ignore the midfielder's dominance either, as he was named as one of eleven MLS Team of the Week stand-outs in Week 11. Lovingly included as one half of the #Panamaniacs with Godoy, who was included in the bench for TOTW, Quintero's creative ways are electrifying & many hope there is much more where that came from.
"Those are the facts!" #Panamaniacs
