
Real Sociedad Releases Roster and Schedule for USA Tour

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Real Sociedad of Spain's La Liga has officially announced their traveling roster and team schedule for the club's United States tour, which includes a stop in the Bay Area from May 16 to May 20 and a match against the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium on Wednesday, May 18. Real Sociedad's traveling roster is comprised of 21 players, headlined by Carlos Vela, Asier Illarremendi and Esteban Granero. The full roster can be found below:

GOALKEEPERS: Geronimo Rulli, Ander Bardaji
DEFENDERS: Mikel Gonzalez, Yuri Berchiche, Alberto de la Bella, Aritz Elustondo, Joseba Zaluda, Alvaro Odriozola, Andoni Ugarte, Srdan Babic

After arriving in San Francisco on Monday, May 16, the club will train on Tuesday before meeting Spain's Rugby Sevens National Team that will be competing in the Champions of Spain Tournament later in the week. On Wednesday, the club will travel down to San Jose to take on the Earthquakes in their first of two friendly matches during their stay in the United States. On Thursday, Real Sociedad will take part in the Champions of Spain rugby event and later will have representatives from the club travel to Google's headquarters in Mountain View to participate in a roundtable discussion concerning the digital revolution in the world of sport alongside reps from the Earthquakes, San Francisco Deltas, La Liga, Google and Youtube. The club will then travel to Houston on Friday.
