FC Dallas Hosts Sevilla FC in the 2019 FC Dallas Summer Classic Presented by Toyota

Frisco, TX - FC Dallas will host La Liga's Sevilla FC in the newly-named 2019 FC Dallas Summer Classic presented by Toyota on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Toyota Stadium. Sevilla FC is currently seventh in the UEFA coefficient rankings. Sevilla FC reserves will also play North Texas Soccer Club for a 45-minute half shortly following the conclusion of FC Dallas' friendly.

Originally founded in 1890, Sevilla FC is the oldest soccer club in La Liga, the premier men's league in Spain. Based in Seville, the team has won 13 national and international titles including five Spanish Cups and five Europa League titles, most recently in 2016.

Sevilla FC has had 37 players capped by the Spanish national team including Jesús Navas and Álvaro Negredo. Navas was part of Spain's 2010 World Cup victory, while Negredo competed in the 2012 European Championship.

"This is an outstanding chance for everyone in DFW to see a legendary La Liga club in their own backyard in the inaugural FC Dallas Summer Classic," said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. "We're looking forward to providing more opportunities for our FC Dallas fans, Season Ticket Members and Supporters to experience friendlies against elite teams from across the globe right here at Toyota Stadium."

"We are thrilled to announce this soccer match against FC Dallas," said Sevilla FC Chairman, Jose Castro. "This is a great kickoff for our 2019 Americas Tour. We're committed to giving our fans around the region a chance to experience Sevilla FC."

FC Dallas will also sell co-branded scarves featuring both FC Dallas and Sevilla FC logos. Proceeds from the sales of the scarves will benefit the FC Dallas Foundation and used to fund a Mini-Pitch in Dallas/Fort Worth.

FC Dallas Season Ticket Members will receive complimentary tickets for the FC Dallas Summer Classic as their 18th match in their 2019 Full Season Membership plan.

This will be the first meeting ever between FC Dallas and Sevilla FC. Riviera Sports Marketing worked with both clubs to bring the friendly to Frisco, TX.
