FC Dallas Deals First Round Pick To Philadelphia Union

PHILADELPHIA -- (Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010) -- FC Dallas has acquired allocation money from the expansion Philadelphia Union in exchange for the Dallas natural first round selection (6th overall) in today's SuperDraft.

Dallas now has five picks in today's draft, while the deal gives Union three of the first seven picks in the 2010 draft, which begins at 2 p.m. Eastern today live on ESPN2. Dallas still holds the fifth overall selection in the draft, which the club acquired from Toronto FC for defender Adrian Serioux on Feb. 24, 2009. FC Dallas also has one second round selection (21st overall acquired from Toronto FC in trade for Fuad Ibrahim in 2008), two third round selections (38th and 44th overall) and one fourth round selection (54th).
