FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati will conclude their three-game road trip with two matches this week, beginning at Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, May 1 and ending at San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, May 4. The first match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Talen Energy Stadium. The Orange and Blue will kick off against San Jose at 10 p.m. ET at Avaya Stadium. Both games will be televised locally on WSTR Star64, streamed regionally on FloFC, out-of-region on ESPN+ and carried on the radio on WDJO, while an audio stream will be available on the TuneIn app and fccincinnati.com.
Following Saturday's match at San Jose, FC Cincinnati returns home to face Montreal Impact on Saturday, May 11.
FC Cincinnati (2-5-2, 8 pts.) enter the week dropping a 1-0 result to New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, while the Philadelphia Union (4-3-2, 14 pts.) come into the game following a 1-1 draw at Vancouver Whitecaps FC. San Jose Earthquakes (2-5-2, 8 pts.) come into Saturday's game following a scoreless draw at FC Dallas.

FCC to Continue on Three-Match Road Trip
FC Cincinnati began their three-game road trip with a 1-0 loss at New York Red Bulls... additionally, it is one of three stretches of three road matches in eight days across MLS this season ... Houston plays at Portland (June 22), at San Jose (June 26) and at New England (June 29) ... Philadelphia plays at NY Red Bulls (Sept. 22) at San Jose (Sept. 25) and Columbus (Sept. 29).
Tytoà â and Ledesma Return from Injuries
Przemysà âaw Tytoà â and Emmanuel Ledesma made their second starts for the Orange and Blue after recovering from hamstring injuries... Tytoà â last start come on FCC's season opener at Seattle on March 2 ... the goalkeeper missed five matches (March 10 - April 7) while recovering from a hamstring tendonitis injury that began during preseason ... Ledesma started in the 2-0 win at New England Revolution on March 24... Ledesma had not been available for selection for FCC's previous four matches because of a hamstring injury he picked up in training ahead of the March 30 Philadelphia match.
Lineup Maneuvering
Saturday's starting lineup included four changes from Head Coach Alan Koch's selections its last outing on April 19 ... Emmanuel Ledesma, Kekuta Manneh, Justin Hoyte and Przemysà âaw Tytoà â replaced Darren Mattocks, Allan Cruz, Alvas Powell and Spencer Richey in the lineup ... Cruz made his first substitute appearance this season when he replaced Kenny Saief on the 66th minute ... this was the eighth different starting grouping of the season ... the only time the Orange and Blue repeated a starting XI was against Atlanta United on March 10 and Portland Timbers on March 17.
A Tale of Two Halves
The Orange and Blue played drastically different halves against New York Red Bulls... after only recording two shots, a 64.6% passing accuracy and a 45.1% possession in the first half, FCC tallied six shots, 75.6% passing accuracy and 62.3% possession in the second half ... Darren Mattocks, Roland Lamah and Kendall Waston were all denied equalizers by the goal's frame in the last 30 minutes of action ... for the game, FCC ending with 496 passes, a 71.0% passing completion rate and a 53.7% advantage in possession.
First East Series to Wrap Up
When FC Cincinnati faces off against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, it will mark the completion of the club's first two-game series against an Eastern Conference opponent ... the Union came to Nippert Stadium earlier this season on March 30, claiming the first meeting, 2-0, in torrential downpours in Cincinnati ... the next two-game series that FCC will finish is the New York Red Bulls series, in which game two is set for Nippert Stadium on May 25.
Bertone, Waston on Watch
Leonardo Bertone and Kendall Waston picked up their fourth yellow card of the season this past Saturday, putting them on disciplinary watch... another yellow card for either player would result in a one-game suspension... however, should they go three straight games without a caution, the player's season total would be pushed back to three for good behavior.
Blues on the Road
For the first time this season, FCC wore their blue uniforms on the road when they suited up in their primary kits on Saturday at the New York Red Bulls ... in each of the team's previous four road games, FCC wore their all-white alternate kits ... after donning the white uniforms this Wednesday against Philadelphia, Cincinnati will get a second road wear out of the primaries at San Jose on Saturday, as the Earthquakes are assigned their white uniforms for the match.
