Fayetteville Downs Peoria in Overtime, 2-1

John Clewlow gave the Fayetteville FireAntz a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Peoria Rivermen when he scored 3:46 into the extra period.

Fayetteville was led by goalie Peter Skoggard, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. Skoggard certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.95 entering the contest.

The FireAntz were paced by Clewlow, who registered one goal.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, Fayetteville exceeded the 19.7 shots it averages per game this year.

Fayetteville also got a goal from Corey Tamblyn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Fayetteville were Yuri Cheremetiev, who had one.

Peoria stifled the FireAntz's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Fayetteville was unable to stop the Rivermen from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

The Rivermen were led by Nick Prockow, who scored the team's only goal. Prockow scored 3:39 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Ben Oskroba assisted on the tally.

The FireAntz totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-6 on the power play. Kevin Carr rejected 29 shots on goal for Peoria. The Rivermen totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
