Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo invite fans to rock their favorite kicks for tonight's match versus Los Angeles Football Club as part of Sneakerhead Night, presented by Warehouse Shoe Sales (WSS) at BBVA Stadium.
Pregame festivities begin later today at 4 p.m. with the Sneakerhead Festival on Orange Ave., in partnership with the Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market, that will feature more than 15 vendors who will display their curated collections of sneakers, art and memorabilia. Fans who purchase merchandise at the Sneakerhead Festival will be allowed to enter the stadium with their new gear.
"WSS has been doing business in the community since 1984, hosting and participating in more than 350 events a year," said Rod Aiken, Vice President of Marketing for WSS. "We are excited to take part in this unique opportunity to showcase what the community is all about through style, sport and art."
Beyond the opportunity to purchase high-end and limited gear, fans are invited to watch the preliminary round of the Beat Boy Break Dance-Off competition on Orange Ave. with the finals taking place inside BBVA Stadium at halftime.
Friday's match features the first-place LAFC and Carlos Vela, who have torn through opposing defenses for much of the MLS season. Houston looks to remain unbeaten at BBVA Stadium and return to the win column after their late second-half rally fell short in Cincinnati last weekend.
