Niagara IceDogs News Release
The Niagara IceDogs will be hosting their 3rd Annual Family Day Season Ticket Holder Skate and Skills Competition on Monday, February 15th, at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.
The day will kick off with the IceDogs Annual Season Ticket Holder Skate. This skate, which is open to season ticket holders only, will take place from 11:00am-12:20pm on Monday and will require season ticket holders to check-in with IceDogs employees before hitting the Gatorade Garden City Complex ice. Once on the ice, Season Ticket Holders will then be able to enjoy a free skate with all their favourite IceDogs players.
Following the skate, the arena will be opened up for all fans to come and join the IceDogs for their Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill Skills Competition.
The event will once again be free for all fans, and will see Team Bill take on Team Denise for the second consecutive year.
With Team Bill falling to Team Denise last year, Bill and his team will certainly be out for revenge in this year's competition. The teams will once again have some added incentive to pull out the victory for their team this year, with the losing team having to serve the winning team again this year at the Mandarian Chinese Buffet on Tuesday night.
This year's event will include nine events with the 3-on-3 puck relay, fastest skater, goalie race, hardest shot, skater accuracy shooting, goalie accuracy shooting, team shootout, breakaway challenge and 3-on-3 game all on the schedule. All of the IceDogs will be in attendance as they compete for both individual and team bragging rights.
The IceDogs encourage all fans to come out and join us for what is sure to be another great Skill Competition this year. With the event taking place on a holiday Monday and the fact that admission is free; the skills competition is a fun and affordable way for families to spend their Family Day together.
