Landeskog Leads Rangers to 5-4 Win Over Bulls

Gabriel Landeskog scored two goals including the game winner to lead the Kitchener Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Belleville Bulls.

Kyle DeCoste opened up the scoring in the game on a Bulls power play early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. Teammate Braeden Corbeth followed up with a one-timer at 12:30 to increase Belleville's lead 2-0. Jeff Skinner made it a one-goal game with 1:11 left in the period.

Skinner tied the game at the 4:53 mark with his 41st goal of the season and second of the game. Adam Payerl reclaimed the lead for the Bulls just before the midway mark of the period. The Rangers' Jason Akeson tied the game once more with his 20th of the season at 15:57. Landeskog was waiting on the doorstep for a pass from Patrik Andersson that he buried with 2:21 left in the period to give Kitchener a 4-3 lead.

Landeskog scored his second goal of the game early in the third period to give the Rangers a two goal lead. Alex Aleardi replied for Belleville with a minute left in the game to bring the Bulls within one goal.

The Rangers travel to Erie on Sunday, February 14th to play the Otters at 4:30pm. They return home Friday, February 19th to host the Guelph Storm at 7:30pm.
