Falcons Undefeated Against Stockton

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA -Igor Gongalsky scored two goals and goaltender Michael Ouzas made 19 saves as the Fresno Falcons recovered from Saturday's loss to defeat the Stockton Thunder by a score of 4-3.

Fresno opened the scoring at 2:53 of the first period with a goal by Igor Gongalsky assisted by Jarrett Konkle and Daryl Marcoux. Mike Salekin responded with a Stockton goal at 19:59 of the second period to tie the game. Stockton pulled ahead on a goal by Stephane Goulet at 5:04 of the third period, but Igor Gongalsky responded with an unassisted goal 8:32, his second goal of the game. Kyle Hagel put the Falcons ahead at 11:53 of the third period but Stockton knotted the score at 17:10 to force the overtime frame. At 3:30 of the overtime period, Falcons center Judd Blackwater took a slap shot from the blue line putting the puck past the Stockton goaltender to lift the Falcons to their second win of the weekend.

The Falcons return to Selland Arena on Tuesday, December 9 at 7:05 p.m. hosting the Las Vegas Wranglers. Tuesday night is Holiday Hockey Bailout with KRZR and Comcast Cable. All Balcony seats are only $7. Seven fans will have a chance to spin and win on the lucky prize wheel for their chance to win valuable prizes.
