Falcons To Skate For Clovis Pet Adoption Center On Opening Night

Fresno, Ca...The Fresno Falcons open the 2007-2008 ECHL hockey season on Friday, October 19 at 7:30pm at the Save Mart Center vs the Las Vegas Wranglers. While the Falcons and Wranglers, fierce rivals, will be fighting like cats and dogs on the ice, Falcons fans will be raising money for the Clovis Pet Adoption Center.
The Friends of Clovis Pet Adoption Center are selling Falcons Opening Night Tickets for $ 12 and $ 15 with $ 5.00 from each ticket being donated back to the Clovis Pet Adoption Center. In 2006, 1,676 dogs, 2,194 cats and numerous other animals passed through the doors of the Clovis Animal Shelter. Of these animals, 626 dogs and 318 cats found adoptive homes.
"The goal and mission of Friends of Clovis Pet Adoption Center is to provide financial support to the Clovis Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center in order to build a new, state of-the-art facility; garner community support; and support educational programs. Your donation made by purchasing tickets for the Falcons home opener on October 19 will assist the Clovis Pet Adoption Center,a non-profit organization in their efforts to build a new facility. We will then be able to provide a safe and healthy haven for pets to live until they can be adopted by loving, responsible owners. We are very excited to be working with the Fresno Falcons to raise money and help these discarded and forgotten pets who can't speak for themselves. The Fresno Falcons' October 19 Home Opener is presented by Eye Q Vision Care. The First 1000 KIDS 12 and younger at this game will receive a free Falcons Luke Curtin T-shirt Jersey courtesy of EYE Q. The first 2000 fans will also receive a free Falcons Rally Towel as the Falcons have declared Opening Night as Rally Around Citizens with Disabilities Awareness Night.
