Falcons Legend Greg Spenrath And Falcons Raise Money For Girl Scouts

Fresno, CA...During his playing days Greg Spenrath (a.k.a. "The Viking") was considered anything but a "Girl Scout" on the ice. In fact, back in "the day", those were fightin' words. Spenrath now works for Wells Fargo Mortgage, but the former Fresno Falcon player and coach who gained legendary status as a long time Falcon fan favorite with his loyalty to the organization, his community service, a 2002 Taylor Cup Championship, and oh yeah, some of the best fights this hockey town has ever seen, is helping the Girl Scouts raise money for their 10th Annual Cookie Classic Golf Tournament.
The Girl Scouts Golden Valley Council is currently celebrating the 95th Anniversary of Girl Scouting and the 10th Anniversary of the Cookie Classic Golf Tournament being held Friday, September 14th at Riverbend Golf Club in Madera. A unique fundraising twist has been added to this year's Cookie Classic. The Perfect 10 Auction and Roadshow has been added to give supporters of the Girl Scouts ten days to bid on ten great Silent Auction Items leading up to the September 14th Cookie Classic. http://www.girlscoutsgvc.org/
The Fresno Falcons have donated four season tickets and a 2002 Green St. Patrick's Day specialty jersey. This jersey features the Girl Scouts 90th Anniversary logo.
