Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons host the Bakersfield Condors in a two-game set on Saturday and Sunday at Save Mart Center as the team continues its drive to qualify for the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Saturday's tilt begins at 7 p.m. when the first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a John Wroblewski Bobblehead courtesy of Citizen's Business Bank.

In addition, the Falcons will unveil a second mascot to join Freddie the Falcon called Frannie. The name Frannie was chosen from among 670 entries submitted by area schoolchildren. The kids were given a picture of the new mascot to color and asked to give her a name. Falcons staffers selected the name Frannie, which was submitted by both Bradie Ansiel of Toby Lawless Elementary and Amanda Aguirre of Campus Club. Bradie and Amanda will each receive two season tickets for the 2005-06 season and will be honored during the introduction of Frannie before Saturday's game.

Sunday's game against the Condors begins at 5 p.m. and is a Falcons Family Day, featuring four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for just $40 – a savings of more than $30. Following the game, John Wroblewski, ECHL February Goaltender of the Month Brett Jaeger and Frannie the Falcon will sign autographs on the Save Mart Center concourse at the Porky's Autograph Booth.

Falcons season ticket holders please note, season ticket booklets were printed with the incorrect time for Sunday's game. Game time on Sunday is 5 p.m.

Regular priced tickets for Saturday and Sunday's games are on sale for as low as $8 per seat and may be purchased directly at Save Mart Center's box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 485-TIXS (8497) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Fresno takes the ice tonight in Las Vegas against the Wranglers as they begin this weekend's action in fourth-place in the West Division with 15 games left on the schedule. B2 Networks will carry the live video webcast of the game via the Falcons home page at www.fresnofalcons.com.
