Falcons' Fans Invited to Stanley Cup Luncheon

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL champion Tampa Bay Lightning, are inviting fans to attend the team's Stanley Cup luncheon at the Springfield Marriott on Friday, Oct. 29.

The Stanley Cup will be on display during the luncheon which will be held from noon to 2 p.m. A professional photographer will be on hand to take pictures of fans with the Cup.

The luncheon will feature Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster as the guest speaker. Feaster was named the NHL Executive of the Year by The Sporting News last season. In addition, the entire Lightning coaching staff, including head coach John Tortorella, will be in attendance at the luncheon. Tortorella won the Jack Adams Award last season as the NHL's Coach of the Year. The Lightning won the Stanley Cup last season by winning four playoff series including a seven-game Stanley Cup Finals victory over the Calgary Flames.

Tickets for the Stanley Cup luncheon are available for $45. Tables for eight are available for $340. Attendants of the event will receive lunch and a group picture with the Stanley Cup. A donation to Springfield Falcons Charities, Inc. will also be made in the name of each person who purchases a ticket to the luncheon.

Following the luncheon, the Stanley Cup will be on display at the Springfield Civic Center during the Falcons' game versus the Portland Pirates the evening of Oct. 29 as well as during a special pre-game event for season ticket holders.
