Falcons Fall To Devils 6-4

December 3, 2008 - The Springfield Falcons lost to the Lowell Devils 6-4 on Wednesday night at the Paul Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA.

Alexander Vasyunov opened the scoring for Lowell at 3:58 of the first period, but Sebastien Bisaillon evened the score at 1-1with his second goal of the year at 5:12 of the opening frame.

The Devils regained a one-goal lead at 15:56 of the first period when Anssi Salmela scored his first marker of the year, but Ryan Potulny evened the score at 2-2 when he tallied his 11th goal of the season at 17:31 of the opening frame.

In the second period, the two teams exchanged goals once again as Bryan Lerg gave the Falcons a 3-2 adventage at 16:01, only to see Ryan Murphy even the score at 3-3 just 37-seconds later.

The Devils struck for a pair of goals midway through the third period as Chad Wiseman scored on the power play at 8:08 of the third period, followed by Vladimir Zharkov's marker at 14:09 of the final period. Bisaillon cut Springfield's deficit to 5-4 with 54-seconds remaining in regulation, but Patrick Davis added an empty netter for the Devils.
