Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced on Monday that they have assigned goaltender Mike Clemente to the CHL's Missouri Mavericks.

He participated in six games with the Falcons at the end of 2011-2012 after completing his four-year career at Brown University (NCAA, D-I). From 2008 to 2012 at Brown, Clemente posted a 32-54-14 record to go along with a .908 save percentage, a 3.03 goals-against average and three shutouts in 107 outings. The 22-year-old set a career high at Brown of 12 wins in his sophomore season of 2009-2010 and secured four-year bests in save percentage (.930) and goals-against average (2.67) in his freshman campaign of 2008-2009.
The Falcons, who lead the Eastern Conference with 14 points after defeating Connecticut 10-2 on Sunday night, battle the Whale on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center before welcoming the reigning Calder Cup champion Norfolk Admirals to The Nest on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Friday's Hometown Heroes Night, presented by MGM Springfield, is geared around honoring local servicemen and women, police officers, firefighters, and emergency personnel who give their lives to helping others. The Falcons will wear special patriotic jerseys as part of the event, and the first 2,000 fans into the building will receive patriotic thundersticks.
Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in 2012-2013 can be purchased at the MassMutual Center Box Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. through game time on Saturday home dates, and starting four hours prior to Sunday home contests.
