Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday introduced a paperless ticketing service called Flash Seatsé by Veritixé in association with Star Tickets, Inc. that eliminates the need for traditional paper tickets and allows fans to enter the game with electronic identification.
When purchasing tickets using Flash Seats, fans can choose any convenient form of electronic ID, such as a credit card or driver's license, which is swiped by a guest services representative with a handheld device in place of paper tickets when they enter the arena.
"Flash Seats eliminates the hassle of paper tickets," said Chad Erwin, the Griffins' director of ticket operations. "We are always looking to raise the bar in today's digital world, and offering Flash Seats allows us to uphold our level of innovation within the industry. Fans using their account online can easily and safely buy, sell and transfer tickets with the click of a button."
Flash Seats allows fans to get quick and easy access to the game, avoid lines at will call, ensure that tickets are never lost or stolen, transfer seats to friends, family or clients via email, and resell tickets to others.
"Fans can tailor Flash Seats to their ticketing needs," said Erwin. "Season-ticket holders can transfer their seats online to their friends if they're going to miss a game. Anyone who purchases tickets for a group can assign each ticket to the individuals within their group ahead of time, which means less waiting around in the lobby and less time having to deliver your paper tickets to each recipient."
All fans can get started by simply purchasing tickets through any sales channel or by registering at griffins.flashseats.com. Current ticket plan holders can contact their Griffins account executive to add Flash Seatsé to their current ticket package by calling (616) 774-4585 ext. 2.
