Wilmington, DE - Following a seven-game, six-day trek through Potomac and Frederick, the Wilmington Blue Rocks return to Frawley Stadium to kick off a seven-game homestand that can only be described as SHOWTIME! Oodles of fun are on the horizon, as the Blue Rocks entertain the Winston-Salem Warthogs from June 12-15, and, following an off day, the Frederick Keys, June 17-19.
On Thursday, June 12 at 7:05 p.m., grab your boogie shoes and join us for DiscoMania Night at the ballpark, featuring a special appearance by the Amazing Christopher and his YMCA puppets. Plus, the first 1,250 adults will receive a t-shirt, courtesy of Jagermeister. Then, watch out for ladders and blacks cats on Friday, June 13 as we celebrate Superstition Night at 7:05 p.m., including a spectacular postgame fireworks show, sponsored by ING DIRECT. It is also another New Journal Blue Rocks Player Poster giveaway. The series with the Warthogs continues on Saturday evening at 6:05 p.m. with Fad Dance Night. Electric Slide your way to Frawley Stadium for a Blue Rocks cap, compliments of E-Zpass Delaware (first 1,000 fans). The four-game set wraps up on Sunday, June 15 at 1:35 p.m. with a Father's Day celebration. The first 1,250 fans will receive a golf umbrella, courtesy of the Wilmington Parking Authority. Don't forget to show up early for the pregame Father-Child Catch on the field, and stay after the action for the postgame Dads Run the Bases, sponsored by Ysmoke.org.
After a day off on Monday, the Rocks welcome the Frederick Keys to Frawley for Hasselhoff Night on Tuesday, June 17 at 7:05 p.m. Show your appreciation for the international sensation that is David Hasselhoff and take part in lifeguard games, chest hair competitions and sing-alongs. Plus, DEXSTA Federal Credit Union will give the first 1,000 fans a seat cushion. Wednesday, June 18 is another fireworks night, as the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center sponsors the postgame extravaganza. It will also be Superhero Night, featuring special superhero themed Blue Rocks jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit the Cancer Center. The homestand concludes on Thursday, June 19 at 7:05 p.m. with Beatlemania Night. Comb your mop-top and come celebrate the Fab Four with plenty of Beatles tunes to go around. Plus, the first 1,500 kids will receive a t-shirt, compliments of IMPACT DE Tobacco Prevention Coalition. It is also the first in a series of NESTLî DRUMSTICK® Nights at the stadium.
