
Exciting Promotions Await Sky Sox this Independence Day Weekend

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox return home on Thursday night, June 30, to begin a four game home series against the New Orleans Zephyrs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
Thursday's series opener will be a Thirsty Thursday featuring $3 craft brews sponsored by Rocky Mountain Coors. The featured craft brew is Colorado Native Golden Lager. Thursday's game also will be a Military Appreciation Night sponsored by CTU. The Sky Sox will be wearing their special red, white, and blue alternate jerseys for the game. Current, veteran, and former members of the military can pickup free tickets at their base's MWR office.
Friday night Fireworks return after game two of the series on July 1. Following the 7:05 p.m. game, fireworks will light up the sky to a Patriotic Theme courtesy of Heuberger Motors. On Friday, Reggy The Purple Party Dude will also be at the ballpark to entertain fans.
The first 1,000 fans to enter Security Service Field for the 6:05 p.m. game on Saturday will get a Rick Sweet bobblehead. The Sky Sox manager is featured in this exclusive, one of a kind giveaway. Saturday's game will also feature a special Heroes Classic Jersey Auction to benefit the Colorado Spring Police Department, Colorado Springs Fire Department, and Wounded Warriors. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.
The Sky Sox will be celebrating Independence Day a day early this year, with all the festivities on Sunday, July 3. The Independence Day Celebration is sponsored by Coors/Midas and will feature Patriotic Postgame Fireworks, one of the largest shows of the year! The first-arriving fans will also be given mini American Flags upon entering the ballpark.
