It would be all Swift Current in the second period as Justin Dowling beat Kent Simpson for his eight of the year at 10:48. The Broncos would outshoot Everett 12-2 in the second period and thanks to some terrific goaltending by Simpson the game remained tied after 40 minutes of play.

Zack Dailey gave the Silvertips the go-ahead goal at 4:52 of the third period. Dailey put home the one-timer after a beautiful toe drag, spin move pass from Jordan Mistelbacher to give Everett a 2-1 advantage. The ‘Tips weren't done yet, as they capitalized on their first 5 on 3 man advantage of the night. Kyle Beach put home his sixth goal of the year, at 4:32 of the second, after throwing the puck on net and getting the bounce off Swift Current goaltender Travis Yonkman's pads to give Everett a two goal lead. The Broncos however would not go away easily as Justin Dowling scored his second goal of the night beating Kent Simpson top shelf and bringing Swift Current within one goal. Kent Simpson's strong play however kept Swift Current from tying the game late with an extra man after the pulled goaltender as the Silvertips took home a 3-2 victory.
